Heated Ruby Stone

The heated ruby gives a more pure red shade with a hue of purple or brown to the natural gemstone. In the process of heat-treated ruby, the original stone is treated between 1,200 degrees to 1,800 degrees Celsius, where the oxidation and reduction of the iron bring the color transition. The heat treated ruby before and after mainly differs in color and clarity making it look more transparent and free of inclusions. The heated ruby value is less than the unheated one because it becomes abundant in the market. There is a 25-30% fall in the heated ruby price ranging between INR 5000-50000 per carat, and are mostly used in jewelry for their beauty and durability.
