Aga Khan emerald recently broke all the records in the auction held by Christie's. This auction was held on November 12, 2024, in Geneva.

The Aga Khan emerald price is US dollars 8,859,865. This is a Colombian emerald, which means it was mined in Colombia. It is a 37 carat Panna gem and was previously owned by Nina Dyer who was a British socialite. She was married to Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan, after whom the gemstone is named. 

He bought this gemstone 55 years ago, that is, in 1960, from an auction in Switzerland in US $ 205,486. As we can witness, in 5 decades, the value of this gemstone have exponentially increased.
