Big Auction Story - Gorgeous Burmese Ruby Ring Sold At 5 Million Dollars!!

A beautiful and alluring red ruby from the Burma origin have been sold in the auction for a whopping price of $5 Million. 

Recently, an auction was held, of coloured gemstones like ruby stone , emerald stone and diamonds in Geneva. 

A ruby ring was the expected star of this auction which held a 17.97-carat Burmese ruby as its centrepiece. This ring is a stone ring with diamonds on either side of the ruby. The diamonds are pear-shaped and of exceptional quality as well. 

In the Geneva Jewels auction, a buyer paid $5.4 million for this gorgeous piece of jewelry. It was estimated to be sold around $4.8 million. 

The stone was natural and untreated stated the gemological report of the gem. The gem was verified by both SSEF and Gubelin. It has no indications of heating.

Another piece that caught the eye was a colombian emerald of 20.49 carats. It's a step-cut emerald, no-oil Panna ring that took the spot of a second-highest-grossing. The estimated range for the emerald was $750,000 to $1 Million, pre-sale. But it was sold at the price of $1.5 million.

In this very sale, the third highest-grossing lot was a ring of red diamonds. It was a cut-cornered rectangular-cut diamond of 1.21 carats which was surrounded by 8 heart-shaped brilliant-cut diamonds that were colourless. Then there was a layer of 24 pink sapphires around these diamonds. This ring was estimated to be sold at $500,000 to $800,000, but it was sold at its best price of $1.1 million. The centrepiece red diamond was named The Red Miracle.
